Develop and support portal solutions based on IBM WebSphere Portal. Candidates will be required to design, develop and/or re-engineer portal application components, integrate software packages, programs and reusable objects residing on multiple platforms.
The ideal candidate must display excellent written and oral communication skills with demonstrated interpersonal and organization abilities. A candidate for this position must be able to work in a varied, fast paced environment. Flexibility and tolerance is a necessity. The candidate is also expected to participate in activities such as requirements collection, design review and portal/web site updates.
Job responsibilities:
- Creates technical designs based on specifications, develops and tests application modules.
- Participate in design review, code quality control and test management activities. Candidates may also be required to participate in meetings with customers to collect business requirements.
- Develop, test and deliver web/portal applications conforming to technical specification and test requirements.
- Communicate with Portal architect and project management on technical issues, provide effort estimates and recommend solutions.

| Skills Required: | | |
- Must possess good analytical and communication skills, time-management aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot defects and solve complex problems.
- Familiar with J2EE and JSR 168/286 APIs, proficient in web/portal UI development using JSP, JSTL, Spring.
- Hands-on development experience
- Knowledge of WebSphere portal product installation, configuration and administration processes.
- Knowledge on one or more functional modules of WebSphere Portal (Security, WCM, Search etc.).
- Basic knowledge of database technologies, operating systems, persistence frameworks like JPA.
- Knowledge of UI-Frameworks, experience in Dojo, AJAX, Spring MVC will definitely help
