Another 6 in 60 Breakfast Session Success!
Posted on: Thursday, May 13, 2010
Toronto (May 13, 2010)- The entire Point Alliance staff and attendees alike were in good spirits despite the morning rain, as everyone gathered for Point Alliance’s breakfast session on Wednesday, May 12th. Staying true to its ‘6 in 60’ name, the Point Alliance team took participants through 6 mini presentations sharing their proven solutions and providing tips and best practices- all based on web applications and collaboration within an hour’s time.
The session kicked off with Point Alliance’s Solution Architect, Fetbi Irsat, who discussed the business need, solution details and project results of a custom collaborative solution developed by Point Alliance, followed by additional presentations from web content management solutions and compliance management systems to value-added portal projects. Resident Microsoft® SharePoint® and SQL Server® expert, Jan Crowe shared a few best practices and tips on how to leverage existing tools and overcome common challenges associated with the applications while John Zarei closed off the presentations with a crowd-pleasing bonus session on how to leverage Web 2.0 and social media to enhance web experiences. The morning session wrapped up with Point Alliance presenting donations collected from their recent 'ipoint.to Haiti Relief' campaign to the Canadian Red Cross, which was graciously accepted by the organization's representative.
The 6 in 60 Breakfast session, attended by clients and IT enthusiasts, was not only very well received by attendees, but has also left guests with a renowned sense of what Point Alliance is all about. John Zarei, Point Alliance’s Chief Information Officer is pleased with the morning event. “It has always been very important to us to keep in touch with our valued clients. 6 in 60 provides a great opportunity for us to stay connected and allow others to learn more about our company and some of the exciting projects we are involved with” Zarei explains, “Whether clients leave with a few useful tips, or inspiration to launch a project of their own- we are happy with the outcome of 6 in 60 and are already looking forward to having everyone together again for the next event in the fall.”
